In Week 1 of Dartington Summer School, three American composers will shed light on the Mayflower story from their different perspectives. Courses explore the legacy of that voyage with a rich programme of music from the 1620s to the present day.

Throughout the whole Summer School, each participant builds a timetable personalised to them, with three slots each day for your choice from more than 20 week-long courses every week. Courses run at the same time each day from Sunday to Friday each week and you commit to a course for the full week.

This is followed by Open Space: a new daily session to help you make the most of your time at Dartington. You can take part in a different workshop or taster event every day, or you can choose to rest, practise or explore the grounds – whatever supports your personal journey.

All musical abilities are catered for, from absolute beginners to advanced postgraduate students.
