The Alion Baltic International Music Festival is one of the top rapidly developing classical music festivals in Northern Europe, noted for its diverse concert programming and educative summer programs for music students of various nations and ages. ABIMF 2019 presents its VI summer season in Riga, Latvia, featuring masterclasses by internationally acclaimed professors, concerts in 4 European countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, and Estonia), solo and chamber music performances, subject lectures and career seminars.

Professors & Guest artists, invited to the 2019 season include violinists Pierre Amoyal, Albert Markov, Felix Andrievsky, Krzisztof Wegrzyn, Aleksandr Vinnitsky, Anastasia Kozlova, and Igor Pikayzen; pianists Dmitri Bashkirov, Winner of Van Cliburn Competition, Olga Kern, Pavel Nersessian, Piotr Paleczny, Pascal Nemirovski, Einar Steen-Nøkleberg, Graham Scott, Min Kwon, Yin Cui, Juan Lago, and Artistic Director of the Alion Baltic Festival, Michael Bulychev-Okser; violists Michael Kugel, Alexander Zemtsov, and Isabel Villanueva; cellists Raphael Wallfisch and Antonio Lysy, Mozarteum Professor-flutist Elisabeth Moest, Internationally acclaimed clarinetist Julian Milkis; Teatro Alla Scala soloist – Denia Mazzola Gavazzeni, and Star soprano from New York City Opera/Berliner/and Covent Garden, Anna Shafajinskaya.

Alion Baltic Festival also presents lectures by Latvian musicians. Among them, Professors of Jacob Vitols Latvian Academy of Music: Elionora Testellica, Cello, Kaspars Zemitis, guitar and composer Janis Petraskevics.

The Season 2019 will culminate with the Gala Concert, July 24, featuring soprano Denia Gavazzeni, pianist Michael Bulychev-Okser, violinist Anastasia Kozlova, violist Isabel Villanueva, award-winning clarinetist Julian Milkis, and Alion Baltic String Ensemble, the time, when all students can perform and enjoy the gift of music.
